The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) just announced that four recent Zika cases in Florida are linked to local mosquito-borne virus transmission. These cases were likely caused by bites of local Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and are the first known occurrence of local mosquito-borne Zika virus transmission in the continental United States.
