The Henry Viscardi Achievement Awards (HVAA) honor individuals making significant contributions to improving the life of people with disabilities. Previous awardees represent all sectors, including both domestic and international leaders continuously striving for the advancement of the disability community. Created in honor of Dr. Henry Viscardi, Jr., one of the world’s leading advocates for individuals with disabilities, this year’s HVAA nomination process is currently underway. Health departments and other community partners are encouraged to submit nominations here, no later than September 30, 2016.
