The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) AIDS Institute recently released a new video series on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV. The PrEP for Sex Video Series features eight videos highlighting the voices of men who are currently taking PrEP to prevent HIV infection. The videos address the following topics:
- Is PrEP Right for Me
- Beginning the Process
- Affordability
- Remembering to Take PrEP
- Condom Use
- Why PrEP
- Side Effects
- PrEP and Emotions
Local health departments can use these videos in multiple ways:
- Include them in community education programs about PrEP
- Run the videos in a public space at your department
- Share links to the videos on your website
- Watch them with a client
- Post them on your Facebook page or tweet about them
