The National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors has released a factsheet outlining how the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) has supported 68,000 clients in gaining insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act. As tens of thousands of people living with HIV have gained access to public and private insurance through the Affordable Care Act, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program has worked in tandem with insurance coverage to provide clients with access to comprehensive care and has continued to serve as a vital safety net for the remaining uninsured.
