New Infographic: Kitchen Manager Certifications Improve Food Safety

The CDC released a new infographic emphasizing the importance of obtaining kitchen manager certifications for restaurant staff. This resource illustrates how raising awareness of restaurant management about environmental factors putting their establishment at risk, can substantially reduce foodborne illness outbreaks.

The infographic also highlights research showing that restaurants with mangers certified in food safety:

  • are less likely to have foodborne illness outbreaks
  • have better food safety practices; and
  • have better ratings and fewer critical violations on their inspections
