Sunday, June 5, marked the 35th anniversary of the first reported cases of what would become known as AIDS in the United States. President Obama offered a statement to reflect on this milestone and point out some major accomplishments of his Administration in contributing to HIV/AIDS response. Additionally, AIDS.gov sat down with other federal leaders in HIV/AIDS response to hear their reflections on this milestone.
