The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health launched a public education campaign that features three animated superheroes collectively called “The Protectors” who encourage LA County residents to learn more about PrEP. The campaign was developed with input from a PrEP community advisory board and the animated superheroes reflect the specific target populations that the campaign intends to reach: transgender women and Latino and African-American men who have sex with men.
