The theme for this year’s World Hepatitis Day, July 28, is “Elimination.” This year, two organizations are making strides toward the elimination of viral hepatitis. The World Health Organization is set to adopt the first strategy for the elimination of viral hepatitis and the Institute of Medicine is assessing the feasibility of eliminating viral hepatitis in the United States.
