The Fulton County Health Department opened a no-cost PrEP clinic with the goal of reducing new HIV infections in three groups who are disproportionately impacted by the epidemic in Atlanta: young men who have sex with men, HIV-negative people in a relationship with someone who has the virus, and women in high-risk groups. Fulton County Health Department will offer PrEP at no cost to patients who are HIV-negative and meet minimum eligibility requirements. The program is supported by Gilead Sciences, the maker of Truvada, and will provide the medication along with medical visits and required tests. Read more more about the PrEP clinic here. For more information on the PrEP clinic, contact the Fulton County Department of Health & Wellness or call 404-613-4708.
