NACCHO is forming an HIV, STI, & Viral Hepatitis Sentinel Network to provide situational awareness of local health department activities, needs, challenges, and successes. The Sentinel Network will be a critical mechanism for gathering the local health department perspective so that NACCHO can fulfill its mission to be a leader, partner, catalyst, and voice for local health departments. Information will be collected through brief queries distributed on approximately a quarterly basis. Through the Sentinel Network, NACCHO will also provide opportunities for learning, peer engagement, and connection with federal and national partners. For more information about the Sentinel Network and details of membership, click here.
To establish a Sentinel Network that represents the diversity of local health departments across the country, NACCHO is aiming for at least two members from each state and a spectrum of jurisdiction sizes and geographic locations and settings. Additionally, we are looking for diversity in HIV, STI, and/or hepatitis program size and in jurisdictions with differing disease burdens and epidemic profiles. We hope that you will consider joining!
To join the Sentinel Network, fill out this form by Friday, February 5. For questions, contact Alyssa Kitlas at [email protected] or 202-507-4223.
