Through support from the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), NACCHO would like to explore local health departments’ efforts to increase vaccine confidence within their communities. NACCHO will provide both formal and informal assistance to local health departments that have identified pockets of low immunization coverage or vaccine hesitancy and are engaging with community stakeholders to contain vaccine misinformation.
If you or someone in your health department would be interested in sharing your experiences, please contact Kimberly Scott ([email protected]) by Monday, December 30 with a brief description detailing the population served by the local health department, the identified pocket(s) of low immunization and/or vaccine hesitancy within the jurisdiction, and any existing efforts to partner with community organizations to address vaccine hesitancy.
