Aug 28, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) seasonal flu vaccination campaign materials are available to assist health professionals in communicating about the importance of vaccination. This digital toolkit includes details on events/activities, sample social media and newsletter content, graphics, web assets, and media prep material. This material is downloadable, shareable, and some of the material is customizable.

Resources to Prepare Health Professionals
Below are resources included in the Healthcare Provider Fight Flu toolkit:

Resources to Promote Vaccination in Your Communities

#WhyIFightFlu Campaign

  • CDC is currently collecting a variety of Flu Fighter profiles describing how members of the American public have been affected by flu and why they fight the often devastating disease. This hashtag campaign is focused on reinforcing the negative impact of flu and positive benefits of flu vaccine. If you’d like to participate, use the hashtag #WhyIFightFlu and share an answer to the question, “Why do you fight flu?” as we move forward with flu season. They are aiming to post these profiles after the annual flu vaccination season kickoff press conference hosted by NFID on 9/26.

Save the Date for Upcoming Events

  • September 26, 2019: Watch and promote the livestream of the annual flu vaccination season kickoff press conference hosted by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID). Link will be shared closer to the kickoff.
  • December 1-7, 2019: Join CDC in promoting flu vaccination before and during National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW). NIVW-specific updates, events, and resources will be posted on CDC’s NIVW website.
