NACCHO will present on building the infrastructure for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention at local health departments at the 2015 National HIV Prevention Conference (NHPC). NACCHO staff will join panelists for session C 26- “PrEP: Infrastructure and Intervention Models” at 1:30-3:00 PM EST on December 8. The session will present local and state health departments’ infrastructure challenges as well as intervention models related to PrEP adherence for MSM.
The NHPC will be held on December 6-9 in Atlanta and is the preeminent conference for scientists, public health officials, community workers, clinicians, and persons living with HIV from a wide variety of organizations to share their expertise and ultimately prevent infections, strengthen care, and reduce disparities. The conference will bring together more than 3,000 individuals who are working to stop the spread of HIV in the United States and will provide an opportunity to continue refining, improving, and strengthening our nation’s response to HIV.
