NCSD Announces Ten Year Agreement with Trojan Brand Condoms

Nov 05, 2015 | Alyssa Kitlas

The National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) announced the launch of a ten-year partnership with the makers of Trojan brand condoms during its 19th annual meeting. As part of NCSD’s ongoing campaign “Condoms (Still) Work!” this partnership will bring a donation of more than 1,000,000 Trojan brand condoms to health departments. Since announcing the launch of the “Condoms (STILL) Work!” campaign last year, a total of one million Trojan brand condoms have gone to NCSD member health department STD programs in Buffalo, NY, Indiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, and the Vermont Agency of Education.

“With alarming increases in STDs occurring across the country and among all demographics, NCSD’s leadership in doubling down on investing in condoms as a primary tool in our sexual health promotion efforts is direly needed,” stated NCSD’s Executive Director William Smith. In the coming months, NCSD will work with its member health departments to identify partners and programs in the coming years to put these donations to great work and expand educational materials and outreach for the “Condoms (STILL) Work!” campaign. STD programs that are interested should contact Stephen Hicks, NCSD’s Health Equity and Capacity Building Manager at [email protected].
