The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published a Measles Outbreak Toolkit for Local/State Health Departments to help these agencies counter misinformation in communities affected by measles outbreaks. The toolkit includes:
- Measles FAQs
- CDC’s Measles Microsite, which you can syndicate on your agency website
- Template letters for communicating with school principals, parents, providers
- Graphics, include a web button and infographics
Additionally, CDC also developed evergreen social media about childhood immunization and Measles Outbreak Toolkit for Healthcare Providers. Local health departments are encouraged to use the social media messages on your channels and share the provider toolkit with the providers in your communities.
