The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) have launched a variety of resources to support healthcare providers in improving awareness and knowledge of sexual and reproductive health care for adolescents. The new resources provide guidance on recommended services, approaches to addressing important clinical issues, and information for patients and their families on how to optimize the health of adolescents and young adults and reduce risk taking behaviors. The patient and family specific information is designed to be shared by the primary care provider with patients and their families.
