The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other federal agencies, and state partners are investigating a multistate outbreak linked to ground turkey products produced by Butterball, LLC. Six people from three states have been infected with Salmonella Schwarzengrund linked to Butterball brand ground turkey. Butterball recalled more than 78,000 pounds of ground turkey products that are labeled with establishment number “EST.P-7345.” Consumers should throw out any recalled Butterball ground turkey or return it to the store.
