Seeking Evaluation Consultant for STD Express Data Collaborative

Mar 22, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

NACCHO recently released a Request for Applications (RFA) to identify participants for the STD Express Data Collaborative, which is designed to further establish the evidence base for express services and support quality improvement of established express models. STD express services refer to triage-based STD testing without a full physical examination.

NACCHO seeks an evaluation consultant to support the work undertaken through the Data Collaborative, in which participating clinics will jointly refine an evaluation plan, collect site-level data and share with NACCHO and CDC for analysis, discuss implications of the analyzed data, consider quality improvement efforts, and share and discuss their express models to support the scale up and replication of promising practices. Focus areas for evaluation include outcomes typically associated with express services, including treatment, cost, capacity, and patient satisfaction, as well as how site-specific factors, such as laboratory site and capacity, staffing models, EHRs, and business models influence implementation decisions and outcomes.

The evaluation consultant will be responsible for guiding the development of the evaluation plan in collaboration with Data Collaborative sites, NACCHO, and CDC/DSTDP; supporting data collection activities conducted by the sites through the provision of evaluation-related TA; and analyzing collected data and synthesizing evaluation findings in the form of project summary reports and a manuscript for publication. NACCHO is committing approximately $100,000 to support the consultant.

View the RFA. The application deadline is Monday, April 8, 2019, at 11:59PM PT. Please contact Samantha Ritter, Senior Program Analyst, HIV, STI, & Viral Hepatitis, at [email protected] or 202-756-0162, with any questions.
