Merck Foundation has opened the call for proposals for its new initiative, HIV Care Connect, which aims to reduce disparities in access to care and improve health outcomes for people with HIV living in vulnerable communities in the Southeastern United States. The Foundation is establishing this initiative with a commitment of $7 million over five years.
The Foundation invites applications from eligible organizations that receive Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program funding in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The Call for Proposals and FAQs provide details about HIV Care Connect, eligibility criteria, and instructions for submitting applications.
The initiative anticipates supporting up to three innovative, multilevel programs to improve linkage to and long-term engagement in HIV care and address barriers related to the social determinants of health. Letters of Intent from interested organizations are due by March 28, 2019.
