Are you seeking ways to work across partners to address a specific health issue? Looking to understand what programs other healthcare and public health partners are providing? The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), in partnership with the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will be conducting a national Mobilizing for Partnership through Planning & Partnerships (MAPP) training as a pre-conference workshop at this year’s PHIT Conference in New Orleans, on June 10 and 11. MAPP is a community-owned strategic planning process that guides community partners through the development of a community health (needs) assessment (CH(N)A/CHA) and community health improvement plan (CHIP). MAPP works as a framework to help healthcare and public health organizations and their communities prioritize health issues, identify resources for addressing them, and take action. MAPP partnerships consist of a wide-array of community partners from across sectors, working together to improve population health.

As a MAPP training participant, you will learn the nuts and bolts of the MAPP process, hear stories from communities using MAPP, and practice concrete skills for engaging community organizations, partners, and community members in your MAPP process. Participants will also learn about the MAPP Network and other resources for continued support after the training. This is an introductory level training that is designed for individuals and teams who are seeking basic knowledge to improve their ability to implement MAPP.

Due to generous support of our CDC and HRSA partners we are able to offer a discounted rate of $100 per participant. Participants from any organization are welcome, with community health center, hospital staff, and HRSA grantees especially encouraged to attend! Please note that participants will be responsible for covering their own travel costs, including transportation and hotel. Since NACCHO is not coordinating hotel stay, we encourage you to book your hotel for the MAPP training as soon as possible. Hotel for the PHIT conference can be arranged separately through the PHIT registration link. Lunch will be provided!

If your organization is interested in attending, please REGISTER HERE by March 15, although space is limited so we encourage you to register early! Please forward this opportunity to your community partners as well!
