Harm Reduction Coalition Launches New Online Training Institute

Jan 31, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

Providers have shared that due to time, cost, and geographic distances, it isn’t always possible to access training resources, especially for new staff who are starting in a fast-paced environment. In response to a need for core harm reduction training that can be accessed anywhere and anytime, the Harm Reduction Coalition has added self-paced online modules focused on the core of harm reduction principles, approaches, and strategies that you can take at any time!

While the online training modules can be taken in any order, it’s recommended that participants start with the Foundations of Harm Reduction to enhance the understanding of Overdose Prevention and Engaging with People Who Use Drugs. These training modules are a perfect way to support new team members in learning the foundations of effective harm reduction practices and support cultural competence for providers working with people who use drugs. The modules are available for $30 each or $80 for all three.

These online modules to supplement and support training new team members and community stakeholders in the basics. They are accessible to people across the country to support self-paced learning for all skill levels and are intended to build a foundation of understanding for people who are newer to harm reduction work.

Learn how to purchase the modules!
