Thanks to the support and generosity of sponsors, the Society of Practitioners of Health Impact Assessment (SOPHIA) is able to offer a limited number of travel and registration scholarships to participants who need support to attend the 2019 Health Impact Assessment Practitioner Workshop in April. Additionally, this year the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is funding two state or territorial health agency staff.
ASTHO Scholarships
The two scholarships offered by ASTHO will cover registration fees, two nights lodging, air travel, and incidentals and is available to state and territorial health agency staff only. Please complete this form by February 1, 2019 to be considered.
SOPHIA Scholarships
SOPHIA awards partial and full registration and travel scholarships. In order to be considered, you need to indicate interest in the registration form. Awards offered are: Travel Scholarship, Registration Scholarship (full), Registration Scholarship (reduced rate). The partial registration scholarship is covered at the ‘Reduced Rate’ ($225). This rate is also available to students. SOPHIA Scholarships will be reviewed and awarded in early February. Registering with your interest by February 1, 2019 is highly recommended.
