ASTHO Seeks Bids for Two Funding Opportunities!

Oct 07, 2015 | Alyssa Kitlas

The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is currently seeking bids for two funding opportunities: 1) a grant opportunity to explore innovative approaches for the provision and payment of STD services; and 2) a grant opportunity to create a viral hepatitis epidemiological profile.

The STD grant opportunity seeks to award four state or territorial health agencies with up to $20,000 each to explore innovative approaches for the provision and payment of STD services and promote collaborations between public health and Medicaid offices. Bids are due by November 2. The viral hepatitis epidemiological profile grant seeks to fund approximately eight state or territorial health agencies with up to $40,000 each to participate in a capacity building project to develop viral hepatitis epidemiologic profiles. The profiles will be designed to increase public and professional awareness and drive policies for viral hepatitis prevention, care, and planning. An intent to bid is needed by October 12 and proposals are due October 30. The epidemiologic profiles created by Wisconsin and Arkansas provide examples of work completed through a previous iteration of this capacity building project.

Please contact Elizabeth Ruebush, ASTHO’s senior analyst for infectious disease and immunization policy, at [email protected] with any questions about these funding opportunities.
