The AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) Program Rural Health Committee, the AETC National Clinician Consultation Center, Georgia Department of Public Health, the International Association of Forensic Nurses, and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership have partnered to develop a new toolkit that includes materials developed for use in clinical settings to raise awareness and offer detailed guidance about non-Occupational Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP).
nPEP is short-term treatment started as soon as possible after high-risk non-occupational exposure to an infectious agent, such as HIV, hepatitis B virus, or hepatitis C virus. The goal is to decrease the risk of infection. Tools include a pocket guide, poster, infographic slides, and more. The toolkit is a collaborative product of the
