The Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes is extending the application period for its 2018 grants to state and local governments to control lead and other housing hazards in low-income privately-owned housing. First-time grantees can receive up to $2.3 million for these 3½ year grants; previous grantees can receive up to $4.1 million. The deadline for receiving applications is now September 25th.
