The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response’s Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (TRACIE) and the National Ebola Training and Education Center (NETEC) co-hosted a webinar focused on the U.S. healthcare system readiness for highly pathogenic infectious diseases on June 12, 2018. Speakers provided an overview of the current situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo; described the regional, tiered system established to manage patients suspected and known to be infected with Ebola virus or other special pathogens; and provided updates on current Ebola readiness and trends.
