MMWR: Access to Syringe Services Programs — Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia, 2013–2017

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) on Access to Syringe Services Programs — Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia, 2013–2017. The report explores how syringe services programs (SSPs) can mitigate the infectious disease consequences of the opioid epidemic and discusses the challenges that some states face in standing up and providing access to such programs.
